It is the marriage of the soul with Nature that makes the intellect fruitful, and gives birth to imagination.
- Henry David Thoreau
On October 3, 2010, Rio Roca Chapel on the Brazos River was dedicated by friends, family, and neighbors that live along the banks of the Brazos River. Maurice Jennings, a noted architect and recipient of numerous awards, and partner for 28 years with AIA gold medalist Fay Jones, designed an organic structure of limestone, steel and glass that perches over the Brazos River reminding all who visit of the legacy of faith among the early settlers and honoring the majestic beauty of God’s creation of the Brazos River as it winds its way through the Palo Pinto mountains.
The Chapel is a private facility used for cultural, artistic and spiritual enrichment. Free public tours are available from time to time. Private tours and events are considered on a case-to-case basis, pending availability of staff and resources.

Breath-takingly beautiful, serene, and spiritual
This building is beautiful. I get a spiritual feeling when looking at it.
I am thrilled and honored that my sculpture "Topanga" is now part of the "Trail of the Iron Ponies" at the Rio Roca Ranch.
